Right time for banks to expand their role: FM  The Financial Express  July 27, 2009  Finance Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee, in his first major speech in India's commercial capital after presenting the Budget in Parliament in July 2009, said that the economy has been able to weather the global slowdown and, therefore, it was the right environment for the Indian banks to grow and expand. 
Interim Budget 2009-10  indiabudget.nic.in  February 16, 2009  Finance Minister Mr Pranab Mukherjee while presenting the interim budget for 2009-10, has said that India remains second-fastest growing economy in the world, with the GDP expected to grow by 7.1 per cent this fiscal.
